​The Brewster Theater Company is a 501(c)3 non-profit group that was established in the Fall of 2000. Our mission is to provide diverse theatrical productions of the highest quality to our community and surrounding areas. It is also our purpose to promote and encourage the community's participation in the theater, both on and off stage, and through opportunities such as workshops and informal play readings. We also intend to provide an avenue whereby local playwrights, poets and performing artists may bring their original works and talents to fruition.

Seven main stage productions are performed throughout the season.  Additionally, our summer musicals have attracted audiences from the Putnam county, plus eastern Connecticut and neighboring Westchester and Dutchess counties.  We also host special events such as Cabarets, an Evening of One Acts, play reading nights, children’s programs, and original works.
