The Brewster Theater Company presented 'Moon Over Buffalo' by Ken Ludwig at the HH Wells Middle School located on Rts. 312 and Farm to Market Roads in  Brewster.

Set in 1953, this uproariously funny show recounts the antics of George and Charlotte Hay and their repertory theater company. This comedy becomes a comedy of errors as George and Charlotte try to pull everyone together for the performance of a lifetime when a big time producer comes to town.

Debbie Levin, who directed the BTC productions of 'Steel Magnolias' (May 2002) and 'Here on the Flight Path' (May 2003), directs this wonderful comedy featuring veteran local actors Bruce Tredwell and Lori Franzese as George and Charlotte Hay, as well as Paul Stein, Jennifer Darby and Jan Anthony.  BTC also welcomes some new faces to our performing  group, such as  Jay Reiner of Cold Springs, Estelle Monahan of Somers, and Lauren Anthony of Brewster.

'Moon Over Buffalo' was originally produced on Broadway in 1995-96 featuring Carol Burnett and Philip Bosco in the starring roles.  This event is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program, administered in Putnam by the Putnam Arts Council.

THE REVIEWS ARE IN:

For Brewster players, laughter is a big part of love.  That's true again with their newest comedy, 'Moon Over Buffalo'...A witty, fast-paced piece, 'Moon Over Buffalo' is about a young lady trying to introduce her fiance to her family.  However, there's a catch.  Her zany family works in show business.  Also, her parents are having a marital crisis.  Still, the show must go on!  So this is not just your typical romance.  It's a romance with scenes that could go in "Meet the Parents II".
