"Here on the Flight Path"
The
Brewster Theater Company presented "Here On The Flight Path", a fresh
and charming comedy by noted Canadian playwright, Norm Foster.
Focusing on one man and his sometimes quirky, unusual -- but always endearing
and entertaining -- relationships with female neighbors, this hilarious play
contains "sparkling dialogue" and "brilliant humor..." as
described international reviews. Featured local residents Jennifer Darby,
Dorothy Hallman, Anne FitzGerald and Felix Pitre, this show was a lively,
laugh-filled evening.
Director
Debbie Levin
of Brewster brings "Here on the Flight
Path" to the New York area on May 2 and 3 at 8pm at St. Andrew's Church,
Prospect St. and Michael Neuner Rd. in Brewster.
This event was made possible in part with public funds from the
New York
State Council on the Arts Decentralization
Program, administered in
Putnam
County
by the Putnam Arts Council.
Here is what Kathy
Yanuklis O'Brien wrote in the Taconic Weekend on May 1, 2003:
'Then the issue of sex rears its ugly head. However, that is not before
some opportunities for witty jokes and puns...that keep the audience laughing
every minute.'
'Anne Fitagerald...had such ease on stage, it was hard to believe that her last
performance was in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" in 1986!'
'Love is not a new theme in community theater. Nevertheless, Norm Foster
makes it fresh while Levin serves it up funny and delightful.'
And also the Preview by Kathy that appeared on April 24, 2003:
'During all three acts. Felix Pitre's John dominates the stage. His asides
give insight into his thoughts,
especially about love.'
