Local teens take a comedic look at a theatre audition BREWSTER, NY – The Brewster Theater Company announces a BTC Juniors production of “The Auditioners” by Doug Rand. Fourteen fun, talented Brewster teens will delight you in this outrageous take on an inside look at an audition. “The Auditioners” will be performed ONE NIGHT ONLY on Friday, April 27, 2007 at 7:30 pm at HH Wells Middle School, Route 312 in Brewster, NY. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. This audition was supposed to be simple: prepare one classical monologue and one contemporary monologue. But when this challenge is taken up by a beauty queen, a stand-up comic, a slam poet, an Esperanto-speaking mime, and a parade of other crazies -- most of whom insist on doing the same Lady Macbeth piece very badly -- what's a director to do? Under the direction of Rebecca Rabinowitz, the cast (of characters) includes Marie Albert, Rose Bisogno, Ben Bisogno, Emily Bueti, Andre Faivre, Jinny Cai, Madeline Collins, Danielle Duncan, Abigail Gallagher, Amber Gerard, Zack Handler, James Hussey, Samantha Roche & Krista Sion.
